Hotmelt staat bekend om zijn makkelijke afrolweerstand en zijn goede en snelle hechting.
Hotmelt is meestal ook de belijming als het om machinetape gaat. Deze is dan 28 my.
De handrollen zijn standaard 25 my. Deze tape is er alleen in een noise uitvoering.
Hotmelt wordt veel gebruikt door productiebedrijven met een hoge omloopsnelheid.
